A fixed-scope review of the finance function, delivered as a written recommendations report to the management team and, where appropriate, to the board.

The report covers the areas a new CFO would examine first:

• SWOT analysis
• Capital sources and uses
• Financial sustainability
• Financial reporting
• Organizational structure and roles
• Controls and governance

Five DWFS engagements have included a CFO Recommendations Report, most at the start of a relationship (~60-80 hours) and one as the closing deliverable of an interim assignment (~120 hours). It is a lower commitment way to establish whether a longer relationship makes sense.
